French House act Zimmer is well into his very own headlining world tour, which spans eight countries on three continents and is giving new listeners an opportunity to experience his assorted mixture of sounds. Starting during the last days of July, Zimmer hit a San Francisco show before heading to multiple French dates. With upcoming shows in Bangladesh, India, Belarus, and Holland, Zimmer’s North American shows are on the horizon.
Zimmer is another relatively fresh face in a field of other young acts. A self-described “horizontal disco” DJ, Zimmer weaves elements of nu-disco, tropical house, and garage into a blanket of beats, both mellow and yet surprisingly danceable – a cross of Kygo and Dusky. Because of its duality, Zimmer’s music can function both in dark nightclubs as well as summertime rooftop parties.

One of Zimmer’s most unique aspects (and what helped him garner his early fans) is his mixtapes. When he was first developing recognition on SoundCloud, Zimmer released monthly tapes featuring the best tracks of the month. Since beginning his work on the Coming of Age EP, the frequency of these tapes have halted; however, the quality of work shows in the EP even though there are only 3 tracks. Each track captures the essence of what Zimmer is an artist, blending multiple house genres into one laid-back sound.
