Take your favorite house track. Bring the tempo down by half. Add some strong reverb to your synth, and bring in a jazz-inspired, glitched-out overtone. Got that? That’s TOKiMONSTA. The hip hop and electronic maven from LA is kicking off the release of her new solo album, ‘Fovere’ with a national tour starting on November 9th. Her tour comes at the end of a busy summer, where she played top gigs like Burning Man and Electric Forest — and she just keeps on going.

The new album, which was released on November 5th, translates incredibly in a live set: her previous releases are trippy, yet structured — a journey in which hip hop and house music are blended into a new, psychedelic, earworm experience. The grime she lays over her hypnotic melodies and exacted beats adds a dark feel to what is otherwise an uplifting sound, giving audiences a chance to dance while also feeling the cosmic, intense vibes she infuses into her music.
On the northeast leg of the tour, TOKiMONSTA will be joined by Anderson .Paak and Two Fresh in what will certainly be a hip-hop heavy celebration of sound and dance.
