RÜFÜS DU SOL Arrives In Full Bloom For Spring Tour

RÜFÜS DU SOL, more commonly known as RÜFÜS, is a group that brings dance music back to its elemental roots on the dance floor. Their dance-heavy hits, bridging house and pop music, take a basic approach to what is currently an environment rooted in experiment. Rather than dive deep into what’s “next” or what’s “new,” RÜFÜS offers clean, solid tracks that are meticulously laid out but remain lighthearted and fun.
The Australian trio has been making deep-driving house hits for the past five years, joining the ranks of fellow Aussies like Flume, Chet Faker, Tommy Trash, and Tigerlily in the realm of US dance music. Their debut album, “Atlas,” reached Gold status by the Australian Recording Industry Association, and their second album, “Bloom,” just released this January, is on track to match, reaching the top spot on the Australian charts.
RÜFÜS comprises Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt, three individuals who come together on stage to perform dance-ready indie beats. Their live sets are minimal but high-energy; a typical track features live vocals from Tyrone Lindqvist while Jon and James jam out on synth and drums. Singles like “Say a Prayer For Me” and “You Were Right” boast that fun-spirited dance personality that have given RÜFÜS a bright reputation, bringing house beats to a lighter, more feel-free melody than one would typically expect in a dance track.
The Bloom tour in the Americas is the second part of a three-month world tour. Their first leg of touring brought RÜFÜS to the UK and Europe, and the last will wrap up in their home country, where they will be joined by Bob Moses and TORA.
