As the festival season wraps up, plenty of low-key events sprinkle the end-of-summer celebrations to keep the festival spirit alive through the fall. This year, Southern California plays host to the inaugural One Tribe, a two-day festival getaway embracing the Californian outdoors and giving attendees one final taste of summer thrown by European group ID&T (who also are behind TomorrowWorld and Mysteryland). Taking a spiritual approach, One Tribe takes its name from tribal spirit, promoting a sense of unity, collaboration, sharing, and learning — the ultimate festival concept.

One Tribe boasts an exquisite techno and house-heavy lineup, with acts like Kygo, Carl Craig, Matador, Patrick Topping, Mark Farina and Skream, among plenty others. With hosts like Beatport, Awakenings, Crosstown Rebels, Jamie Jones’ Paradise, and B3, One Tribe promises that the best of the best will be in show for a one-of-a-kind day filled with pure house and techno. One thing that makes One Tribe so unique is its format — the festival is split across five stages lining the shore of the incredibly scenic Lake Perris. The bright blue lake and its white beaches provide one of the most elegant settings for a festival in the continental, matching with the lineup’s rhythmic grooves to unify music and nature.

Attendees can choose to camp in Lake Perris’ surrounding woodlands or park at the nearby Perris Auto Speedway and shuttle over to the festival grounds. With multiple hotels nearby, festival-specific hotel packages, and a quick drive to Riverside, CA, it’s hard to turn down accommodations, but camping has its perks. Among the not-to-miss scenery, campers also have many options: those without a vehicle or wishing to depart from one for the weekend can choose Tent-Only Camping, although Carside Camping is available as an add-on; for a less rugged weekend, RV Camping and pre-set Tribal Tents are offered. Campers are given access to a 24-hour market and general store, hot showers, local hiking trails, electrical hookups for vehicles, and 24-hour medical/info services, as well as designated daytime swimming areas. The campgrounds also offer one extra perk: campers can arrive Friday night for a pre-party experience featuring Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Deep Jesus, Marbs, Porkchop, Pumpkin, and Dimond Saints.
Within the grounds, festival activities are not limited to music. One Tribe presents talks and workshops in the H.O.E.A.H. (Heaven On Earth Activated Here) Lighthouse Temple, including presentations in yoga, wellness, dance, activism, nutrition, and more.

Passes are currently available for anyone older than 18, starting with GA tickets. Attendees over 21 can opt for the One Love Experience, which includes a separate fast entrance, a VIP viewing deck, a One Tribe bar, complimentary snacks, a lounge, private air-conditioned bathrooms, and special parking (although One Love passes can be combined with camping). For a full-service experience, the Tribal Tent Package, available as 18+ GA or 21+ One Love, provides a pre-set tent, two passes (according to package), one pre-inflated air mattress and two pillows, two sleeping bags, a lantern, souvenir merchandise, easy check-in, complimentary showers, flushable bathrooms, and space for a car next to camping. Those looking for more affordable options can earn passes by becoming an official One Tribe ambassador or entering One Tribe’s Recycle Drive contest.

With a love of dance music stemming from countless years of dance lessons and bass-thumping car rides with her music-obsessed father, Sarah Ribeiro is a Hartford-raised music addict who moved to Boston in the pursuit of a supportive and open nightlife scene. A passion for learning and a willingness to grow has pulled her out of her trancehead sphere and exposed her to a crazy variety of music and introduced her to some of the most amazing people (and events) Boston has to offer. A writer and social mediac, her main interests are music, literature, technology, art, and her first love: the city of Boston.
