Myon & Shane 54 Don’t Skip a Beat for 2014 Heartbeat Tour

February 3rd, 2014

myon shane 54 heartbeat tour
Late last year, Hungarian duo Myon & Shane 54 announced their Heartbeat tour with house act Late Night Alumni. MS54 hails from Budapest and has maintained a consistent international presence in the world of dance music thanks to efforts to break genre definitions; their tracks echo with melodic, elemental rises that have many fans turning to MS54’s more trance-y style of electronic music.  Over the years, MS54 has risen to fame with a number of remixes, mash-ups, and mixes that attract fans from all different fragments of electronic music and has allowed them to unite under a single flag to appreciate the beauty and melody behind their tracks.

The duo jokes about their creative process – the main goal is to always be different from everyone else and to not rely upon a single element to capture attention.  While they see many artists using similar sample packs and synthesizer settings to build tracks around these individual utilities, MS54 tries to approach their tracks as an entirety.  Rather than compounding piece upon piece until finished, the duo approaches projects holistically, constantly swapping ideas, sounds, and influences in order to create their finished project.  The results can be quite varied; some remix projects have produced as many as five possible tracks, while some projects have taken years to complete while others (including a Beatport #1 hit which the duo refuses to reveal) took under an hour to produce.

As the demand for different sounds in the United States continue to grow, Myon & Shane 54 tease the Northeast with three 2014 dates – Boston and Philadelphia in early February, and New York City later in the month.  These rising powerhouses have already worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including Claude VonStroke, ATB, Armin Van Buuren, Alvin Risk, Flux Pavilion and appeared at Electric Zoo, Stereosonic, Paradiso, and Tomorrowland to name just a few highlights on the vast music resume they boast.  Along for the ride this tour is Kaskade supported funk-house group Late Night Alumni.  Until the live performances fill your fix for sound with the Myon & Shane 54’s weekly podcast, International Departures, and get a behind the looks glimpse of the tour life with the International Departures reality show.
