Canadian dubstep icon Excision will once again be embarking on a lengthy North American tour early next year. Sound and video production are the centerpieces for every Excision performance, with each tour innovating on the previous year’s set pieces and visual effects. Having retired his Executioner setup featured in the past few years, he’ll be bringing out an entirely new stage design called “The Paradox” in 2016. The new visuals will be supported by a 150,000 watt pk sound system sure to please bass heads across the northeast. The Paradox setup won’t be revealed to the public until it makes its debut when the tour kicks off December 11, but Excision promises it will be a major improvement over previous incarnations.

Supporting Excision on the Paradox tour are bass artists Figure and Bear Grillz. Figure released his latest album “Gravity” earlier this year. Bear Grillz’s sound combines dubstep with elements of trap and reggae, both of which are showcased heavily on his “Unbearable EP” he dropped this past winter.

Steve's obsession with music began when he was 16; he saw his then-favorite band, Metallica, play the TD Garden in Boston. His musical tastes have broadened since then, but he is still chasing that feeling of excitement & unity he felt at his first show. His introduction to the dance music came when friends brought him to a Bassnectar show, and he hasn't looked back since. When Steve heard MASS EDMC were looking for writers, he jumped at the chance to get more involved. Writing for MASS EDMC has given Steve a rare opportunity to combine two of his passions: writing & live music.
