LESPECIAL

Born in the woods of Connecticut and raised in the wilds of Boston, lespecial has established themselves as innovators and tastemakers on their own unique trajectory. The aggressive death-funk dance trio explodes with energetic live sets, tapping into a primitive past distorted through the lense of contemporary technology. Coming off the release of their second EP, Ceremony, preceded by Playonbrother Sessions (2011), Jonathan Grusauskas (guitar/keys/trumpet), Luke Bemand (bass guitar) and Rory Dolan (drums) ignore convention, instead amalgamating the familiar styles of Afro-Latin rhythmic traditions, Hip Hop, Funk and Metal into a singular sound that dexterously transforms during their live sets and over the course of their studio albums. As Ben Weiss of Relix Magazine puts it, “Amidst the rest of the noise, lespecial is the squeaky wheel that demands attention.”

G-NOME PROJECT

G-Nome Project has been regarded as ‘Israel’s premier Livetronica band’ by the likes of Relix Magazine, performing what Live For Live Music deems ‘impressive and surprising shows.’

Formed in September 2012, G-Nome Project is rapidly building one of the most loyal fan bases in the country, packing venues to capacity in their home city, Jerusalem, and expanding rapidly to the heart of the artistic scene in Israel’s center in greater Tel Aviv. The band is comprised from a super group of four nationally renowned musicians – Yakir Hyman, Zechariah Reich, Chemy Soibelman, and Eyal Salomon – who each bring a distinctive flavor to the dynamic electro-funk palate of this Jerusalem-based quartet.

Fans of many backgrounds flock to the band’s shows for the music, good vibes, and hardcore dancing that exemplify the character of the G-Nome community. Building on their success in the Middle East, the band has embarked on two international tours in the USA and will be breaking new ground with a 6 week summer tour across the US in July-Sep 2015.
