‘The harmony of the world is made manifest in form and number, and the heart and soul and all the poetry of natural philosophy are embodied in the concept of mathematical beauty.’ – Sir D’Arcy Wentworth Thompson (1860-1948, Scottish zoologist.)

From the track record of Robert Balotsky’s work as Buku, it’s clear that the Pittsburgh native and graduate of Music Technology is a well-equipped architect of twisted, layered soundscapes. With a menacing grasp on sound design and music theory, Buku combines deceptively simple and emotive melodies, laden with resounding low-end and intricate drum patterns. With a love of drums rooting from childhood, his work reflects his passion – emitting percussive elements only a trained ear could produce.

Buku’s debut EP release, ‘Janky’, sent a shotgun blast into the Bass Music scene – quickly gaining support and full rotation by Diplo, who described Balotsky’s production style as ‘where dubstep is going’ at the brink of 2013. Following his break into the genre, the producer has been championed by a variety of curators, including Bassnectar, Pete Tong & Zane Lowe, as well as garnering the support of his peers for collaborations with the likes of Paper Diamond, G. Jones, in addition to being tapped for remix duties for Minnesota, Griz, Nick Catchdubs, Brillz & Tropkillaz.

With a strong support from the industry, Buku has seen releases on OWSLA’s NEST HQ, UKF’s Pilot Records, as well as features on Fool’s Gold, Main Course & Mad Decent. The producer’s latest single, ‘Front To Back’, has further solidified his stance in the scene – going viral in only a few weeks upon release, quickly climbing Spotify’s “Global Viral 50” chart to hold the #3 spot, as well as holding a #1 rank on Hype Machine throughout late 2016.

As a result of his consistent output, Buku has quickly placed himself at the forefront of rising talent amongst North American producers – an impressive track record only further supported by his latest EP, ‘No Dramas’, released through the dominant Dutch dance music purveyor, Spinnin’ Records. With more releases slated for the new year, a non-stop touring schedule made up of domestic and international markets, as well as a packed festival season, and continued support from top labels & industry heavyweights, 2017 will surely see Buku’s continued upwards trajectory.

Au5 is the EDM solo project of Austin Collins, a 22 year old electronic music producer from New Jersey.

I have been a musician my entire life and began producing at age 12.

I combine elements of electro, progressive house, trance, and dubstep to create what I like to call ”trancestep”.

I strive for pristine sound quality, extreme dynamic energy, beautiful intricate melody and progressions, and cutting edge sound design to present a unique musical experience to the listener; something more than just dance music.

I have had releases on OWSLA, Monstercat, Viper Recordings, Adapted Records, Rottun Recordings, Armada Music, Walt Disney Records/Pixar, and Atom Recordings with multiple releases hitting the top 10 on Beatport, with my single with Fractal ”Halcyon” hitting #1 on Beatport Dubstep Charts.

Born on October 31st in the late 1980’s, Mike Pipitone (production alias ‘The Architekt’) has been a lightning rod for heavy sounds ever since setting foot in his subterraneous studio lair. Avid drummer, percussionist and native son of Philadelphia, The Architekt cut his teeth bringing the thunder with Upper Darby based Rock + Metal outfits before teaching himself how to round out his own personal rhythm section with the gnashing sawblades of the sinister synths Massive & FM8. A true master of blending the darkest of dawns with the brightest big room breaks, Michael Pipitone’s polished compositions, both musical and graphic generate what is becoming a cinematic world for his audience to exist within. The Architekt is producing the complete package.

The true genius of The Architekt resides within the blueprints yet written. His ability to stop on a dime, interpret musical trends/forecast potential soundscapes worth digging deeper into make him a producer’s producer: Mike’s art is keenly watched, and his House releases for OWSLA’s The NEST, Caliber music and Official Remixes for Rell the Soundbender means The Architekt can’t stay hidden as Philly’s best kept Underground Reinforcement much longer, and whether the world is ready to recognize it or not: when the dust settles on this Heavy Bass monstrosity The Architekt will be standing firmly on a foundation of his OWN creation.
