EXCISION

The name itself presents a terrifying image- a mangled, forced extraction, quite literally ‘removal by cutting’. It should come as no surprise that the sounds behind this name are just as filthy, brutal, and unforgiving as the namesake suggests.

Excision shows are like no other- a virtual apocalypse of twisting and morphing sounds turn massive crowds into a frenzy, as virtual walls of bass are relentlessly impaled time and time again upon their fragile bodies and ears. Your ears will ring and your eyes will roll into the back of your head as you are suspended in what can only be called a true sensory overload. Bass will rain down from above for hours as Excision’s skills as a DJ and producer shine like an unholy light from the underworld.

The true champion of bass music, Excision hails from Kelowna, British Columbia. The founder of the ROTTUN label, a bass music conglomerate that has shaped the sound of modern Bass music, Excision has created a vast roster of allies that has only bolstered his spot as a warrior of bass music. Armed with a library of destruction and filth, Excision has time and time again tested the limits of electronic music with vastly different sets that encompass a full range of genres. The things you see and hear during the precious time you are engaged by Excision’s sounds will eclipse your mind for a lifetime, as you are constantly enlightened by the true fervor and energy that only an Excision set can provide.

LIQUID STRANGER

Traveling the uncharted terrains of sound, Liquid Stranger’s creative output spans a wide range of electronic music in all of its colours and shades. Always pushing the sonic boundaries and merging genres, he consistently creates an ever-evolving blend of unique atmospheres and cutting edge grooves.

The Liquid Stranger has been working professionally with music since 1996 and has released over 50 titles under various pseudonyms in that time. He used to DJ for Breaks FM in London and has worked with numerous record labels including; Dragonfly, Botchit & Scarper, Six Degrees, Hope Recordings, Ministry of Sound, Spirit Zone, Muti Music, Rottun Recordings and Interchill.

With 4 highly acclaimed full-length albums under his Liquid Stranger moniker, this multi-talented producer has established himself as the epitome of trans-national dubstep, covering everything from Latin, Asian, Eastern European and Jamaican Dancehall dubs. His first two albums, ‘The Invisible Conquest’ and ‘The Intergalactic Slapstick’ (Interchill 2007 & 2009), generated a substantial buzz with DJs and listeners alike while his next two albums, ‘The Private Riot’ and ‘Mechanoid Meltdown’ (Rottun Recordings 2010) made a firm imprint in the dubstep community worldwide, topping the download charts for over a month. With several additional remixes bearing his signature touch, the Liquid Stranger sound is in high demand as it continues to reach increasingly wider audiences.

Performing live, the Stranger has a passion for the unexpected and hits the stage with a stash bag full of devastating dance-floor monsters. Using custom built analogue gear to remix his tunes in real-time, he delivers an energetic and infectious performance unique to every show. Major gigs to date include such world renowned festivals like; Electric Daisy Carnival, Voov Experience, Boom Festival, Roskilde,Samothraki, Vortex and Club Boom to name a few. At the moment, he is one of the most sought-after US-based dubstep producers and is in constant demand from coast to coast.

DION TIMMER

Bright glowing lights shine through dark and hazy atmospheres in the futuristic world of Dion Timmer, an artist whose roots in The Netherlands’ rave scene have helped define his uniquely colorful approach to modern bass music.

After discovering dubstep at the early age of 10, Dion became inspired to develop his own production style, featuring blissed out chord progressions, pitched-up vocals, and faster tempos alongside aggressive and highly technical sound design.

In 2016, Neon Dion’s vibrant-meets-vicious signature began to take shape through releases on Rotten Recordings (Plug Me In and My World EPs), followed by collaborative works on Excision’s “Virus” album (notable the innovative “Final Boss” festival staple and the much anticipated triple collar with X and Datsik for “Harambe”.) Shortly after, Dion made his Monsterdcat debut with “Panic” and “Lost,” then letting loose an OWSLA-approved remix of Skrillex and Team EZY’s “Pretty Bye Bye.”

Within the last year his unforgettable songs have catapulted him to becoming an internationally booked headliner, and quickly landed the slot as the opening act for 50+ sold out shows on The 2017 Excision Tour, exposing Dion to over a quarter of a million die hard headbangers all over the US, all before his 18th birthday.

With upcoming collars with the likes of Adventure Club, Snails, Bro Safari, Datsik, and of course Excision, a packed tour schedule, and a pure passion for music production, Dion has accomplished more in just a few years than most artists accomplish in a decade. The future is indeed bright for Dion Timmer!
