If P-Funk and Zappa had a lovechild, it would be Dr. Slothclaw The PA-based freak funk phenom has been blowing up the live music scene with their funky mix of blues, psychedelic and jam since 2006. While the band points to such bands as Turkuaz, Lettuce, Pink Floyd, and Primus as inspiration for their cross-genre sound, they find their home in the traditions of funk and blues. Balancing surprising improvisations with memorable melodies, the band’s music features an eclectic range of sounds and influences, including world percussion, ripping guitars, synth leads, exploratory soundscapes, bass breakdowns, and spot-on vocal harmonies. Known for their high energy shows and catchy, inventive lyrics, a Dr. Slothclaw show will not only inspire you to join-in on their legendary mass-audience sing-alongs, but will leave you pumping with adrenaline. Dr. Slothclaw has shared the stage with, Turkuaz, Consider the Source, Particle,New Riders of the Purple Sage, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong just to name a few. They have also been featured at festivals and events alongside Twiddle, Zach Deputy, Umphrey’s Mcgee, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Main Squeeze, Eric Krasno Band Mickey Hart Band, Dangermuffin, The Mantras, Keller Williams, Raq, Dumpstaphunk, Ozric Tentacles, Marco Benevento, Kung Fu, Max Creek and many other amazing artists.

Founded by seasoned members of the Baltimore music scene, Squaring The Circle’s prog-funk sound has set out to breathe new life into classic funk and jazz fusion with their original material that somehow brings these genres into a contemporary light. Their shows in 2017 have showed fans what they were all about. From taking on crowds at Domefest and Hot August Music Festival to sharing single bills with Kung Fu, Big Something, Aqueous, and The Main Squeeze, this power group shows no signs of stopping as it continues to rise in the many music scenes of the Mid-Atlantic. Carl, Dan, Nate, and Tyler started this journey in late 2014 by immediately finding challenging music and creating definitive medleys featuring some of their favorite tunes. Since then, they have grown more comfortable with each others’ musical voice while crafting very unique original material that has been turning heads and creating a huge buzz with each growing crowd.
