There are many different types of festivals out there, but only a select few can provide both an international location and a transformative experience – Envision Festival is one such festival. Boasting a beautiful jungle location on the beach, yoga, and workshops, Envision takes place in Uvita, Costa Rica from February 25th to 28th.

This year marks the sixth year of Envision, and the lineup reflects the experience the festival organizers have – each name is a thought-out addition to the experience. From Shpongle to Beats Antique to Random Rab; An-Tan-Ae to Lee Reynolds to Atish – the lineup truly showcases a variety of jungle-appropriate sounds. But the music is only a part of the experience that is Envision: both the yoga and workshop lineups feature notable names in their chosen fields. In addition, there will also be live painting and various art installations scattered throughout the Envision grounds.

While traveling out of the country might seem like a feat sure to drain one’s funds, attending Envision is actually relatively affordable. Four-day GA passes are currently on sale for $277, with add-ons ranging from $75 to $95. Four-day VIP passes begin at $625, and include access to the VIP lounge and campgrounds, dinner with the artists, complimentary shuttle to the festival grounds from SJO, branded merchandise, and more. Flights from Boston to the nearest international airport,  Juan Santamaría International Airport, will certainly be the most costly portion of the expenses but as anyone who has attended Envision before can attest, the cost is certainly worth it. Find out more about how to travel to Envision here.

Electric Shepherdess was born out of my frustration with nightlife options and a constant desire to dance. After a few years of adoration from afar, I partnered with my long-time friends, MASS EDMC, to spread our message far and wide. When I'm not tending to my flock, I'm writing, dancing, editing, managing, reading or curating. I believe in fancy hats and enjoy glitter, disco and lazers, often for days.
