electric forest festival 2015 lineup
After a slew of fake posters and whispers of possibilities, Electric Forest has finally released their 2015 lineup. This year marks the fifth year of the festival, so it is not surprising to see that Insomniac and Madison House pulled out all the stops to ensure that the lineup would impress. While jam band fans might not have as much to celebrate, electronic music fans will be pleased at the varied lineup that will bring disco, house, dubstep, drum and bass, trap and glitch hop to Sherwood Forest.
While the lineup is not really the point of Electric Forest (if you’ve been before, you understand), this year’s roster is one of the best. Electronic music’s favorite conversation starters, Bassnectar and Skrillex, will definitely be sets to catch; 2014 was a big year for both – Skrillex impressing many naysayers by showcasing his musical range on various tours and Bassnectar dropped a massive album and went on his own successful tour. Bass music fans will be glad to see Ed Rush & Optical, Datsik, Mt Eden, KOAN Sound, Crizzly, and MartyParty included. For those who prefer a more glitch-y sound, Gramatik, Odesza, Big Gigantic, Branx, Gibbs, Exmag, and Minnesota are welcome additions. For those more interested in psychedelic tunes, Shpongle, Phutureprimitive, and Lotus are acts to catch. House music fans should be especially pleased: the genre as a whole will be widely represented; Carl Cox, Kaskade, Flume, Claude VonStroke, Green Velvet, Paul Oakenfold, Goldroom, Miami Horror, Pete Tong, Soul Clap – the list goes on and on.
The silent disco and curated stages have yet to be announced, so expect more artists to be announced before EForest kicks off in June. Not sure how you’re getting to Electric Forest yet? Don’t worry – MASS EDMC is sending buses to Michigan from all over the Northeast. Check out the options here.

Electric Shepherdess was born out of my frustration with nightlife options and a constant desire to dance. After a few years of adoration from afar, I partnered with my long-time friends, MASS EDMC, to spread our message far and wide. When I'm not tending to my flock, I'm writing, dancing, editing, managing, reading or curating. I believe in fancy hats and enjoy glitter, disco and lazers, often for days.
