Cashmere Cat Announces 2015 Tour Dates

February 25th, 2015

by

Fresh off the debut of “Wolves,” his newest-produced track with Sinjin Hawke for Kanye West (featuring Vic Mensa and Sia), Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat is kicking off 2015 with a full-scale tour that combines small-room gigs with festivals such as Ultra Music Festival and Coachella. Only three years after his first EP Mirror Maru, Cashmere Cat has swept into the United States, being featured on the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack, Ariana Grande’s 2015 Honeymoon Tour, and Kanye West’s latest fashion show.

Plus, the Cat is the man. He has a way of seeming incredibly modest, even when he’s humblebragging on social media about new collabs and featured spots in lineups. His overuse of emoji and cat pictures just make you want to be his friend, which in turn makes it all the more exciting when news comes out about him.
Both Cashmere Cat’s original productions and remixes follow a streamlined rhythmic R&B sound that incorporates his excellence in hip hop with his experience as a turntablist. Having represented Norway in the DMC World DJ Championship as DJ Final, his prowess in scratching and mixing is not overlooked.

As arguably one of the best rising producers, Cashmere Cat’s sets often mesh top hip hop tracks with his own live mixing, proving how effortlessly and firmly he commands sound; by fusing popular music with his own flavor, he allows for a style that is simultaneously relatable and unique. Fans can expect to see a combination of popular music, original tracks, and simply fun mixing that will provide an all-around enjoyable experience at each of his shows.
