Camp Bisco 2016

Last year saw New England festival Camp Bisco returning after a year hiatus at an all new venue. The transition from its previous home at the Indian Lookout Country Club to Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA went pretty smoothly, with the biggest criticism from fans being the lack of available shuttles from off-site parking to the main campgrounds. In an open letter to fans, festival founders The Disco Biscuits promise improvements this year, including faster entry times, payment plans, and additional VIP amenities for hardcore fans.

In addition to the standard six sets from The Disco Biscuits, this year’s Bisco lineup features a solid mix of jam bands and dance artists. Headliners include a rare performance from Big Grizmatik (aka Big Gigantic, GRiZ and Gramatik), OdeszaGRiZ, STS9, RL Grime, and Zed’s Dead. Hybrid acts like Orchard Lounge, Papadosio, The New Deal, Dopapod, PhuturePrimitive, and The Polish Ambassador are on the bill. Space Jesus, Keys N Krates, 12th Planet, Shiba San, The Indobox, and Lettuce round out the impressively eclectic lineup.

Tickets for Camp Bisco begin at $195.50 for a three-day pass and $450 for VIP. VIP benefits include early entry, private viewing areas, free meals, VIP lounge access, and access to special late night sets from select artists. Camping passes are $45 and sold separately from standard GA tickets. On-site parking passes range from $30-75 depending on how many people in your carpool. The festival is offering special deals on hotel rooms at the nearby Hampton Inn in Scranton for those that don’t want to camp. Shuttles will run from select nearby hotels to the venue, but you’ll need to buy a separate pass to get on.

Steve's obsession with music began when he was 16; he saw his then-favorite band, Metallica, play the TD Garden in Boston. His musical tastes have broadened since then, but he is still chasing that feeling of excitement & unity he felt at his first show. His introduction to the dance music came when friends brought him to a Bassnectar show, and he hasn't looked back since. When Steve heard MASS EDMC were looking for writers, he jumped at the chance to get more involved. Writing for MASS EDMC has given Steve a rare opportunity to combine two of his passions: writing & live music.
