Bartenders, promoters, musicians: it’s your turn. BPM Festival is returning to kick off 2016 (and a new festival year) for you. The annual celebration — that is, of course, open to all — is held in sunny Playa del Carmen Mexico for ten days of nonstop music, dancing and fun.

What does BPM promise? Nonstop music that every househead dreams about: Maya Jane Coles, Hot Since 82, Ida Engberg, Maceo Plex, Catz ‘n Dogz, Justin Martin, Chus & Ceballos, Nicole Moudaber, Gorgon City, and the inimitable techno king Adam Beyer. Set up against an oceanfront view, the vibes carry along the waves to make for an unforgettable tropical getaway. Strewn across the playa in over a handful of venues, the party never stops, no matter where you go. With oceanfront beach clubs like Blue Parrot Beach Club, Canibal Royal, Martina Beach Club and Wah Wah Beach Club alongside nightlife at Blue Parrot, Jungle, La Santanera, Salsanera, and Tribeca, there’s a party for everyone’s style.

And the party doesn’t stop there. Ten days is a lot to dance through, after all, and the Playa’s got surprises to keep you going beyond the clubs. Not only is there an abundance of warm, welcoming ocean pretty much everywhere you look, the Playa is filled with boutiques and plenty of pop up shops to peruse. More adventurous types can take on water sports, explore Mayan ruins, hike the local caves, and meet new friends for future adventures.

BPM suggests you plan your stay early — as tickets sell out, so do hotel rooms. They offer travel accommodations, with almost all local hotels within 2 miles of the festival. And you can book for however long you want your stay to be; the festival has plenty multi-day options. Tickets are available for single events, but wristbands give fuller access. A 10-day wristband, valid January 8-17, 2016, includes entry and re-entry to every event, line bypass, guaranteed entry, discounts at 125+ local stores, restaurants, tour companies and businesses, and first choice to reserve VIP tables/booths at venues. A 7-day wristband, valid January 11-17, 2016, includes entry and re-entry to all events during this time frame, with all the above amenities. There are even wristbands for solely Opening Weekend (January 8-10, 2016) or Closing Weekend (January 15-17, 2016) — all with the same included perks.
BPM plans to announce Phase 2 of their lineup, ensuring even quicker sold out dates. Don’t miss out.

With a love of dance music stemming from countless years of dance lessons and bass-thumping car rides with her music-obsessed father, Sarah Ribeiro is a Hartford-raised music addict who moved to Boston in the pursuit of a supportive and open nightlife scene. A passion for learning and a willingness to grow has pulled her out of her trancehead sphere and exposed her to a crazy variety of music and introduced her to some of the most amazing people (and events) Boston has to offer. A writer and social mediac, her main interests are music, literature, technology, art, and her first love: the city of Boston.
