To celebrate the release of their new album, “Escapements,” Beacon is embarking on a full North American tour this winter. Over the course of one month, the duo (Thomas Mullarney III and Jacob Gossett) are hitting up 23 intimate venues with their dark, rhythmic sound.

For those new to Beacon, they are an experimental electronic act from NYC specializing in a dark, surreal style. “Escapements,” as explained by the band, is an album about time, and the daily struggles we face by being restricted by time. The album carries out Beacon’s signature heavy sound and carries this concept throughout by the grace of Mullarney’s buoyant vocals. Tracks like “Preserve” and “IM U” scatter 90s-inspired vocals, hypnotic synth riffs, and groovy basslines onto a house rhythm, evoking nostalgia to the introspective tracks of early Massive Attack and Aphex Twin.

Beacon is also bringing vocalist and DJ Natasha Kmeto with them, carrying out their intimate feel one step further as she entrances audiences with her drum machine and microphone.
